how to clean filter socks

Borax has no phosphates or chlorine, add vinegar and small amount of bleach. After done , soak in a bucket of rodi water. Air dry.

I wash mine in dishwasher with the dishes. They come out perfect like new. I run tap water through them a bit and toss em on the deck railing you dry in the sun a few days. Inside out thru all that. Seems to be working so far. No I’ll effects or smell of detergents.

I also throw my baseball caps in the dishwasher. They come out new. Just sayin

How long do you use your filter socks before you replace them with a clean one?

Do you put the felt sock before the mesh sock?

I bought a power washer.... and it cleans them like nobody business. Along with my skimmer, and powerheads...very fast and quick!

You talking about gas powered power washer? Like you would clean a car with? If so, will that amount of pressure tear away at the felt and let larger particles through? Let us know how that goes after let’s say 10 washes. Good idea!
