How to increase water pressure in RO system

Hello guys. How do you increase water pressure in a RO system? Any ideas?

City water is maintained by those large towers and is mostly static. Wells are maintained by a well pump that fill a large vessel with a pressurized bladder.

It’s very cost prohibitive to alter a well for more PSI and not feasible to alter the city water.

Your best bet is to run an external booster pump that takes your current PSI and increases it. They are around 100$

Yup! Bulk reef supply has at least one video talking about the install and all the benefits of booster pumps if you end up getting lost!

Though modern practice sets the booster pump between carbon block(s) and RO membrane(s), as opposed to before the entire RO system; yielding better function and no need for a prefilter!

My house has a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) on the main water line that can be adjusted. Turns out, mine was set for a PSI of like 40. I bumped it up to 65. Now my RODI works much better and showers are better too

As mentioned before a booster pump. The one i bought is super simple to install. It took maybe 10 minutes.
