Please excuse the uglies.
Tank measures 60L x 33W x 36H. The overflow box is on the left side and the external portion extends to about the top of the rockwork on that side. So if I put a pump there, it needs to be a gyre pointing up over the rock. I have 2x jebao mp40 knock offs and 2x jebao ecp 180 m (gyre with max flow rate of 7900gph. I am thinking 2 mp knock offs on the back wall and 2 greys on the sides. Or maybe the 2 gyre on the back wall and 2 mp where they are.

I would do The Jebao MP40 on the left side middle of the tank on each side and the Gyre on the Right side top pushing the water towards the overflow

I would run 2 Sea Sweeps with Tunze 6255's like I run on my 60×30×21.
All the power you need with great random flow.
The best may be no power cords in your system as the cord runs through the sweeps.

Also take a look at the new Tunze ORCA with their 6105's as 2 should get the job done. I am going to run one on my new 36×36×19.
Sea Sweeps have 90° rotation and the ORCA has 180°.

I am partial to drilled closed loops on two side or three side viewing tanks but since it's setup, I would do an above tank closed loop with two pumps and put them on opposite timers to vary the flow. and then maybe a wavelike pump toward the bottom shooting lengthwise.

I wish I had put mine in a cabinet or in wall so I could do that.

Do you ever do nutrient carry on gyres when feeding or do you just kill the tanks heads and circulate the return?

Screen capture of my Neptune mp4 profile. I do not use a Feed profile setting on anything to turn off pumps. My fish chase their food in the water and seem healthier for it. I have a monster sump with a large refugium/pod breeding grounds so I do not mind when food goes into the over flows and gets in the sump, it just feeds the critters there.

I don't turn it off either im just asking if you switch gyres into nutrient mode or do you turn them off so that they are not shoveling the food down the overflow. I have a gyre that occasionally I tried on nutrient mode just to softly push back from the end of my tank but im curious if opposed to turning off the other heads if maybe you ever tried running them on that mode to gently rotate the food a little more.

When I feed I hold the flake underwater so very little floats on top to disperse it, pellets are in a feeder ring, so they have to sink they are not free to float on top of the water. Frozen sinks pretty fast and I use Nori Nibbler feeders.

My 350fx gyres run opposite each other on 5minute intervals. Cross Flow pattern. Again I never shut that down, it just runs non stop.

I could program feed modes in via my Apex, but I honestly think letting these fish chase the food is better for them. Especially the super active guys like Wrasses and Anthias. At least mine seem happy, and very healthy.
