I’m sure most have seen these but I was pretty impressed at the size of mine in a 40 breeder tank and thought I would post a few pictures.

“Back story”
I upgraded to a 75 from the 40 today and didn’t realize how many and how huge these worms have grown. I bought all dry rock and a few pieces of coral frags over the last 3-4 years so all the worms had to be tiny at the time. Some are a foot long and that’s not an exaggeration. I also noticed the large ones would poke their ends out and excrete a huge cloud of white stuff. If anyone has an idea of what the cloudy stuff is let me know.

Anyways enjoy!

Thanks! Interesting name I’m guessing there’s a story behind it?
I will allow @BristleWormHater to explain that, but I wanted them to see your pictures and make a comment.:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes::cool:

Threw up a little....
These beasts are disgusting.
Somebody asked for the backstory, so when I was adding rocks to my tank I got stung by a massive bristleworm. The bristles got all over my arm, very very itchy.
Not laughing at the injury but the threw up a little statement made me laugh

Yeah, that’s exactly what mine did! What is that white stuff?
I can't say for two reasons,
1 This is a family site &
2 I don't remember, but I knew you had one of these from your vivid description.
