What's up reefing fam, 2-year rookie here, wanna share my 100 gallon system built on a 52" Husky Workbench.
First there were two motivations behind this project.
1. Obviously, I'm obsessed with coral, fish, and salt-water systems first of all!
2. But also, the system I had built just months prior had become a burden on my wife lol it legit made her claustrophobic.
There was only one spot in my house for a bigger fish tank, so it had to be under 4 ft, and I had access a water shut-off behind the tank to think about, AND a sloped floor. Budget was also of course a factor, but I didn't have any particular number in mind, I just knew it had to be thrifty.
As an example, most serious aquarium stand options run into the thousands, before you even get a quote on the glass. This $400 CAD brand new, 2 drawer, 1000 lbs capacity beauty, AND a second hand custom tank with overflow for well under one thousand CAD! (hold the applause lol)
This is the first chapter of the story, it's only 5 mins:
Thank you so much for taking the time, especially if you offer any thoughts, for better or worse, I appreciate it!
Cheers,
Dan
PS. anyone help me with the quality of the photos I uploaded? Why are they so low-res? Thanks!
