I am currently running David Saxby schedule love the look and the ramp up time but I worry about it.

At 12" with only two Hydra 26's you're probably only pushing 160-180 PAR at best at the top of the rock work directly under the lights. So you don't have anything to worry about with burning your corals. Just add new ones on the bottom and move them up to where you want them over a two-three week time frame and they will be fine.

When I was running two of them using the BRS dialed in AB+ settings at 9" I only managed 180-210 with the lights at 9" above the water line.

Since adding a second pair I am pushing 280-340 in the same areas with the following settings.
UV - 87%
Violet - 78
Royal - 75 %
Blue - 57 %
Green - 0
Red - 11%
White - 17%

1 hour ramp up, 8.5 hour flat run and a two hour ramp down, then a 2.5 hour lunar cycle active.

I have a full mixed reef with zoas, hammers, torches and frogspawn that get blasted with 250+ PAR and have been like that for over a year and no issues, all with great color, and steady measurable
growth.
