I got seachem coral dip. Hopefully this will be OK? I don't think I will have time to make it to any stores in the next week or so. Been super busy so just ordered something off of Amazon that would be here in time. I think it was the only choice from what I saw was available for 2 day prime. Ordered it real quick at work so didn't have time to look much.
I haven’t used it personally but I’ve seen experienced people post that they have used it. Should be fine.

Looks good, great start so far. Worst case scenario if you do lose it, it wasn't a super fruity rainbow magical unicorn fart acro for $950 ;)
PS I love acros, just sayin'

Yeah true. And at least I have an external factor (moving) keeping me from getting any more frags in the short term. Maybe after I can start looking into my options.

Though that may be a bad sign for getting other corals? Maybe others here know more about what corals valentini puffers will/won't eat

From what I read so far they tend to mostly go after SPS. They leave soft coral alone. Someone said theirs would always pick at the new coral for the first week and move on, but I know it can vary. I know the puffer is not considered reef safe so if it comes down to it I am OK with staying a FOWLR in the long run.

My reef crystals always tested around 11dkh, ~500 cal and ~1600 mag, id say just switch to that and not worry about dosing until your tank is stocked with more demanding corals. Ive also heard of people mixing different salts together so you can still use the salt you have now.

Good idea. Maybe after the move.

When I added the frag on Friday at lunchtime until now. The puffer hasn't shown much interest in it, but I have fed twice a day this weekend. Back to once a day during the week.

It's still looking good. Not sure if these things are like evergreen trees where they look green long after thier day.

It looks like it may have had some growth on the bottom already, but it may be the angle of the picture.

Left is Friday at Lunchtime, right is right now.

It's growing already! Growing diatoms on it that is!

Couple a pics under my blue lighting. Still at 40% blue and 20% white max. This is 31% blue and 15% white I believe.

Actually looks a lot more blue in the pics than in person to me.

Here are with my whites turned up and blue down a bit. Don't remember the values, just whatever my I slid the sliders to.

Umm... Is it dead? Someone on my other thread told me it was dead. I also asked one of my friends who is into reefing and he said he didn't think it was dead. Just covered in a bit of diatoms.

What do you think?
