Can I ask why you switched from the ReeFi's back to G5's?
I've been trying to decide between G5's and ReeFi's and I had previously read about all the troubles you'd had with the XR15's. Where you unhappy with the ReeFi's?

Hi,
While trying to light an 8’ tank it became apparent that I needed to raise the ReeFi’s higher or was needing supplement light bars to fill in the gaps and remove hot spots on a shallow tank. ReeFi’s are an amazing light and honestly are of better quality and customer service. The limitations my wife put on me of nothing from the wall or ceiling killed my plans of T5 hybrid. If I could have it my way I would be using that hybrid setup today since my plans are an SPS dominated tank.
The 5 diffused XR30’s do provide a better blanket of coverage and more even par on my tank **at the lower mounting heights**
Do not hesitate to get ReeFi lights and I’m confident @danlu_gt will take good care of you.

My tank is 60x22x22. I am considering either 3 ReeFi’s or 4 G5 XR15’s.
May I ask how they compare with regards to light bleed / side glare? This is a deficiency with my current setup, being in my living room. You mention that you’re able to achieve good spread with a lower mounting height on the G5’s, does the lower mounting height also mean less glare outside the tank.
