Yeah something certainly did 🤣 🤣 🤣 ... those quotes should be @n2585722

Weird.

The shortest answer is that Mobius, and the MXM module, allow the integration of AI and Ecotech, with the Neptune Apex. MP series power heads, radion lights, AI lights, Orbit gyres, etc. I do not know if it is for every product in their respected catalog but some are supported.

You probably already know this but Neptune did have an API that they offered to third parties for control although I do not know all of the details behind it. Both Kessil and SICCE made use of it that I tested. It worked well and was seamless. In the case of Kessil a360x light control it was a huge quality of life improvement for me.

While I am in the Neptune ecosystem, and have been for a long while now, I do not know the details of the MXM module. I apologize for being brief on it.

Hope your day is well.

lol. Seems I live rent free in your head 😂😂😂

You enjoy flaming on
Ohh it's not free Dom -- but think of your stay as a gift from me to you because I care.

Spend some time there and you will eventually be able to actually carry on a contextual conversation without arguing in circles and making looking a bit foolish.

There is even a full dictionary and thesaurus there. Feel free to use them both. I have taken the liberty of earmarking several terms for you to get started - "crippled" and "flawed" with everyday contextual examples to help you better navigate conversations.

Enjoy your stay, and remember... it's a gift from me to you 😀

That is far more than I was willing to look up myself.

Those quotes that BZOFIQ posted where not me either.
You've been a huge supporter of CV and Hydros, basically running the user forum and indicate are not compensated by them in any way.

You've mentioned beta testing some products.

You say you haven't seen the Maven...
...maybe you have and can't say.
But honestly, you seem to know less about it than others, so I’ll take that at face value.

So here's my question: Given your status, why wouldn’t you be part of the Maven alpha or beta tests?

I’ve been eagerly awaiting adding the Maven to my Hydros ecosystem, but just came across this article. No specific release date has been provided which gives me worry that it might be a very long while before we see it.

https://reefbuilders.com/2024/11/01...ur original goal was to,goal will not be met.
From the article:
So it's an useless update, the product simply isn't ready. I wish they would give us a concrete date and stick to it, they could be doing this as a tease to drive the demand.

There are far better ways to tease. There is no upside here. They painted themselves into a corner and the last video didn't do then any favors. RAP has come and gone and I would imagine that they are sweating bullets.

Cool story bro.

You are just annoyed because you choose not to carry on an actual technical conversation about a product that you chose to opine on with someone capable of carrying on such a technical conversation.

It’s ok, Bean. You don’t always need to be smartest guy in the room. Sometimes you just need to agree to disagree with others rather than feebly attempting to sway them to your way of thinking by using inflammatory verbiage

Putting you, the ultimate fan, on the spot here.

You provide an insane amount of positive support for CV and Hydros and have said you don't get paid for basically running the user forum, but have beta tested some stuff.

You say you have not seen a Maven - and of course maybe if you have you can't say anything, but you appear to actually know less about it than others, so I take that at face value.

My question is, given your status, Why would you not be on the Maven Alpha or Beta tests?
If I did have one I could not comment on it say anything that is not already public knowledge. That said I do not get to test everything that Hydros releases. They know my system and it has to be something I can use and test every or most aspects of it.

That’s pretty standard for Beta testing agreements.
Yes, it is and I can see why it is that way. For one the company wants to be the one that releases the information first. I used to work in the semiconductor industry in a clean room and they had NDA's also. I retired a few years ago after 30 years in that industry. I was an engineering technician which is just under the equipment engineer. I worked on ion implanters. Those were interesting since they had toxic gasses and high voltages and strong magnetic fields.

That sounds very cool. For a short time back many moons ago I developed compilers for the semiconductor EDA industry in support of gate level simulators. It is a cutthroat business when it comes to protection of intellectual property. But that was when the dinosaurs roamed the earth 😂

But there is no further "technical" conversation to be had. The functionality is well understood and was never in dispute to begin with, other than you wanting to argue word semantics. I think if you look back you will find that you don't even have a point to argue and there is no conversation to be had here.

It’s not about being the smartest guy in the room. It’s about being able to engage in a contextual good faith debate and knowing when to bow out or correct course after making an error.

Nobody’s tried to sway your opinion. You engaged me about my opinion and understanding, while completely ignoring context. You are still taking that path and projecting -- as if we have somehow traded roles. But my position has not wavered in the slightest:

The Hydros system is cloud dependent, even if limited local control exists in “emergency” mode. I consider that a flawed design, regardless of whether it works “as intended.” I have little issue with a closed ecosystem, provided consumables aren’t digitally locked -- especially when they aren’t patent protected. That’s not an oxymoron, as you claimed; it’s straight forward application of consumer protection law. In this case, the chemistry is all based on long established methods and the only thing being "protected" is captive margin.

Bean stop trolling me. I’ve made my opinion known and posted facts about the product. If anyone is not carrying on a good faith debate it’s you. You hide behind discussion of semantics etc. I’ve said my peace, you need not try to convince me that somehow you were “right” the whole time. You can go back to gaslighting others if you’d like. I have no interest in it.

Bean stop trolling me.
Help me understand here. It was you that engaged me and have continued to engage me, arguing about everything but the actual point at hand and yet somehow, you are being trolled because I respond, and do so contextually?

You accuse me of deflecting, flaming, enflaming, projecting, pretending to be the smartest guy in the room, using word soup, and goodness what else, I have lost track... Yet in reality all I have done is respond to your direct engagement, repeating my original point over and over as you generate one tangent argument after the next. See how that works, you engage me, I respond.

You can go back to gaslighting others if you’d like. I have no interest in it.
Gaslighting -- Help me understand here. Is literally pointing out via screenshot where your initial engagement is a semantic argument about "design" vs "flaw" definitions and pointing out other instances of your roaming random arguments gaslighting you and others?

It sounds like your issues with me are personal, as you long ago strayed from the context of the discussion and decided to attack me instead of simply admitting error or walking away.

I would suggest that if you don't like me and have no interest (as you outwardly state) in further conversation, or can't do so without insult, then simply stop responding. It is that simple. I have no personal issue with you and will happily respond when engaged. So the ball is in your court. If you can't help yourself, the put my on ignore.

Given your massive collection of Hydros equipment, why would you or they think that you couldn't test every (or most) aspects of it -- if provided?

As much as I am firmly in the 'no way' -- now more than ever given the reagent announcement. I honestly can't wait to see this thing get released -- and truly do wish them success with it.

I didn’t “engage” you. I responded to a post in public forum with some salient information about the product.
You chose to be offended and believed they only your opinion mattered

You can continue to throw the word
“Semantics” around as if it means anything in a technical conversation. I never presented myself as the smartest person in the room. But you have done that for the vast majority of this thread. And when you felt threatened you called people “fanbois” and accused them of marketing on behalf of CV as well as other accusations. Stop bullying people and engage in a productive conversation
Gaslighting -- Help me understand here. Is literally pointing out via screenshot where your initial engagement is a semantic argument about "design" vs "flaw" and ignoring context, repeatedly gaslighting you and others?

I ignored no context. You simply don’t like my opinion. And it bothers you enough to keep engaging me with your circular arguments.
It sounds like your issues with me are personal, as you long ago strayed from the context of the discussion and decided to attack me instead of simply admitting error or walking away.

I had no personal issue with you. You chose to throw all sorts of accusations around. And I’m simply responding to those accusations.

You should do the same.

I didn’t “engage” you. I responded to a post in public forum

You can continue to throw the word “Semantics” around as if it means anything in a technical conversation.
You are now very literally making a semantic argument between "engage" vs "respond" having different meaning in the context of you quoting my post.

You did the exact same thing when you first responded (and quoted) me. It has been the pattern for our entire exchange.

Is there anything you won't argue about?

How is this relevant to the thread topic?

Sorry, maybe you thought I was prodding him, it was an honest question.

If you were honestly asking if it is relevant...

Part of that process of product development is user testing.
He has beta tested other products in the Hydros ecosystem.
He is a large and vocal hydros supporter.
He knows the system hardware and software better than anybody I know.
He has a very large Hydros system.
He does most of the public "tech support" on their forums.
He indicated he was not a candidate for the beta test.
I was simply rather curious as to why that would be the case.
