I was stupid and didn't quarantine my new bellus. Now my display tank has ich. I knew better and was an idiot.

Always quarantine. Otherwise you are playing russian roulette.

Now I need to setup a quarantine, try to catch the fish or hope they can battle through it with the help of good feedings, cleaner shrimp and selcon/garlic additions to their food.

What a pain....

Been there, done that.

I QT EVERYTHING now, including inverts, LR, ect.
It NEVER hurts to QT, it just takes extra time and the hassle of having one running.

At this point I would just feed the tank well and let them fight it off

I think you stress them out more through the whole quaranteen process

Made this rookie mistake with a beautiful atlantic tang. Cried myself silly as an 8th grader. Havent really gotten ich since, but still dont think I would attempt another removal unless it was absolutely necessary.
