My xbox 360 got the ring of death 5 days ago. I call up microsoft and they sent me the stuff. Funny thing is 10 min after I got off the phone (thats how long the 360 had been unplugged) the thing started working. So for 5 days I have been able to play it without problems. Funny part is today the box arrived for me to send it back and the xbox froze up again, though without a ring of death it just froze. So now im xboxless until they send me a replacement/fix it. I asked if they can upgrade me to an HDMI one but I doubt they will. Doesnt hurt to ask though

So in the meantime I had to bring down the kids dvd player and wow does it make me miss my 360. My 360 HD DVD drive played movies ooohhh so well and upscaled the dvd's very nicely. This panasonic upscaling dvd player upscales like crap so it looks horrible. I had a hard time watching speed racer without wanting to just turn it off and rerenting it when I get my 360 back lol. Amazing how when I went from VHS movie watching to DVD watching I couldnt go back to VHS and now with HD DVD's I have a hard time going back to watching DVD's and SD television.

so all I have now is my Directv in HD and the WII in 720p which doesnt look bad but still doesnt compare to 1080p and playing cod4.

I read one to my kids every night. Besides if I read more than 2 or 3 pages of an "adult" book I fall asleep. Doesnt matter if the book is exciting or not I still fall asleep.

instead just means I have to finish up some projects around the house lol.

why would I want to spend $300 on that point of sale that has basically no games for it? and what games it does have I can basically get for the 360. Blu-ray is just as dead as HD DVD right now. Besides right now, thanks to my wife, I have no money.

Cant help that it takes developers more time to make the game for the ps3 since the system is so much and capable of more than the 360. the 360 just thorws a lot of games out there on the market thats crap. Glad I got rid of my 360 soon!

lol too bad this console was made in 06. The rrod is only those who have old consoles not new.

the 360 has way more cooler games that are worth playing than the ps3.... Oh wait 98% of the games on the ps3 are also for the 360 myb ad. Sony is bad. I mean lets see rootkit is one thing that comes to mind..... 3 months for replacement of "defective" parts under warranty. I can go on.

I prefer the PS3 also. You said 98% of the games that are on ps3 the 360 have. So why not just buy the PS3 and buy all the games you like on it that you like on the 360

because the 360 is a better unit than the ps3. Plus there are MORE games for the 360 and MORE games that are BETTER for the 360 :D.

I prefer the 360 cuz I like ripping kids online. Granted the PS3 is free online, but I like the 360s games better. Plus the 360 has all the games for it. The ones that are out for the PS3 are good but they havent made a game that can handle the whole PS3 yet, hopefully God of War 3 will do so.
