Those look like pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders that typically show up in newer tanks.
So not to worry? Or should I be doing something to rid them or keep them away? Are they cause by to much nutrients?Theyre called pineapple sponges they arent harmful they can increase in numbers pretty quickly but they wont hurt anything
Don't worry about them they are harmless filter feeders that normally appear in a mature tank with a good amount of bacterioplankton if anything its a good sign. If you don't like them you could scrape them away but I leave them in my systems. So not to worry? Or should I be doing something to rid them or keep them away? Are they cause by to much nutrients?
