I got the T5 out of the tank. Time to play electrician. I hope you can be aware of any future posts I make in this thread in case I stumble into some problems. Never thought I’d do anything like this before, so I’m thrilled to gain a new skill.

Remove lamps and reflectors to get to where ballasts are mounted and then proceed to verify wiring.

Are you sure I’m supposed to get to wiring from where the bulbs are? I watched a video and they opened the unit from the back

I don’t think there’s any wiring from this side.

There’s a multitude of fixtures. It seems that to access your ballasts you’re gonna have to get to them via the reflectors.

If you give me a model # I’ll look up how to disassemble it.

the vids are basically a map on the process of elimination. How you get to the ballast is another thing.

At just looking at the fixture on the website, it’s for sure accessible via the reflectors.

I removed 3/8. I think it’s from the back.

So this is a lil more involved..... after removing lamps and reflectors, next will be the tombstone mounting plate.

@olonmv

Can I screw back on the reflectors and open it from the back? There’s nothing under the reflectors
