I hate frags

I have a nano aquarium so any frag thats slightly larger than a nub looks pretty good. Once it grows into a more natural shape they look amazing though.

I just got a 400 gallon tank . I am definitely gonna drill holes in my live rock before i put it in so all frag plugs have somewhere to go. i always cut the bottom off and glue them down. But i get what you are saying i like colonies to over frags .

I love frags, I love to see them grow. I see some that grow quickly within days of putting them in the tank and others that don't do much for months and then suddenly grow like crazy. Most of mine are sps, and euphyillia. I have a couple of Duncan's that started as three heads and both exceed 35 heads after about 9 months I can see changes in growth weekly on most. I can't afford colonies of some of them. I hate when a frag gets knocked loose but I have a bare bottom and can find them. Best to use a little superglue gel on bottom of frag then a small ball of of epoxy stick then more super glue and press into rock they seldom come loose. No plugs in display tank.

I love frags but some of them are priced way to high and I don't like waiting for them to grow, lol. I just started putting SPS in my 90 experiment so my tank looks bare. There is only 11 SPS, 4 LPS, 3 zoanthid, 2 polyp colonies and a 12 year old leather coral colony. 4 more things to get and the I will just have to be patient.o_O I'm ready to see what it will look like in 2 yrso_O
