Hey guys! I was looking at my goldfish tank earlier, and I noticed the seams looked a little weird…are they beginning to fail? How would I go about fixing the seams before it completely fails?

the seams are likely weakening based on the bubbles in the silicone, but assuming it's a 10 gal or smaller, I wouldn't worry much as the pressure on the glass isn't significant compared to larger tanks.
I see - slightly more concerning, but it does not look immediately catastrophic to me. If I were you I'd save up for a new tank and keep an eye on the silicone - if the bubbling starts to expand, I'd go ahead and pull the trigger on a new tank. Better safe than sorry! It’s a 29 gallon tank…
Ok, yeah, I figured the tank would need replacing…but, just wondering, is it possible to re-do the seams?I see - slightly more concerning, but it does not look immediately catastrophic to me. just wondering because it looks like it’s only 2 of the seams that are going bad…Ok, yeah, I figured the tank would need replacing…but, just wondering, is it possible to re-do the seams?
Hmmm. Is it possible/worth my time to try to re-seal just the spots where it’s bubbling? It looks like it has those plastic guards on the top and bottom, I THINK you have to remove those to get to the seam, that might impact the other seams...
Where the seams connect you would have leaks. Old doesn't adhere to new.Hmmm. Is it possible/worth my time to try to re-seal just the spots where it’s bubbling?
I think it’s a tetra…idk…whatever that one cheap brand is at Walmart. Alrighty. I guess I gotta get a new tank…the annoying part is I haven’t even only had the tank for like 2 years. And I bought it new.Technically you can redo the seams, but you’d have to redo all at once. IMO it isn’t worth the risk and effort on what I’m assuming is a 29g Aqueon
Bubbles aren't necessarily bad. Watch them and if they don't get bigger, it's probably just a normal part of the build... most silicon has some bubbles.Hmmm. Is it possible/worth my time to try to re-seal just the spots where it’s bubbling?
So, does it looks bad enough that I would have to get a new tank? Or should I just error on the side of caution and get one so I have a backup?Bubbles aren't necessarily bad. Watch them and if they don't get bigger, it's probably just a normal part of the build... most silicon has some bubbles.
Are the bubbles new?So, does it looks bad enough that I would have to get a new tank? Or should I just error on the side of caution and get one so I have a backup?
I know, and I’m sorry, this is the only forum I’m on, I’m not even on any social media…but I trust the people on here, So I wanted to see what you all thought. And you said it was freshwater? (this is more for the others on the forum) I'm curious if it being fresh vs salt would have any impact.
YesAre the bubbles new?
No worries, I've seen people post reptile stuff....I know, and I’m sorry, this is the only forum I’m on, I’m not even on any social media…but I trust the people on here, So I wanted to see what you all thought.
I’m kinda terrified of this thing bursting…would it be worth the peace of mind to just replace it all together? Are the bubbles new?
