hmm its small, but from the growth it doesnt look like an ice/fire. Echinata have a more elongated skinny branches with few polyps.

I think it just might come off this way because it is a vertically challenged frag and the polyps are compacted into that flat area. The colors look right. It looks very similar to the portion of mine that is encrusting.

After another look, I've never seen green coloration in my polyps. Get your
seller to post a pic of their colony.

Trust me guys this is an ice fire. It came from a very respectable guy on this forum and i know it is not fake. It is no doubt an ice fire and i just want to know why it so bushy compare to other that i have seen. Maybe it grows that way because it under very high flow. When i had it in my other tank it had really no polyp extensions.

If it came from a reputable person then I am sure it is. I have just never seen any at that stage of growth. Mine was already 1.5 inch tall when I got it. The pic looked greener then mine as well. Theres no mistaking it when it grows so I doubt anyone would sell just any acro and call it icefire. Mine has great polyp extension as well but since it has longer branches and polyps only at each tip it doesn't look the same. However seeing that its encrusted and has not started to really shoot out I can see it having alot of polyps. Theres nothing wrong with good polyp extension thats for sure. I wouldn't worry about that.
