i have a pink tail that got Ich. Put him in qt tank. Treated with copper, and he got better for a couple days and now it has come back pretty bad. He is still eating great though. I have lowered salinity to 1.15 and still treating with copper. Nothing seems to be getting better. Any help?

You should not lower the SG and treat with copper. One or the other, target SG for marine ich is 1.009-8.

What type or brand of copper did you treat with and how long did you treat?

I am not home. Will have to check brand. I have been treating for about a month now. Not every day of course. Probably twice a week

^^This. Also, you need to test the Cu level to ensure it reaches and stays within therapeutic range for the type of copper you are using. Sub-therapeutic copper will oftentimes improve the fish's condition, but will not completely eradicate ich or velvet.

You'll have to get a copper test kit. Check the active ingredient in the copper you're using and if it's Chelated Copper only use an API copper test kit.

Agreed. The copper wont be effective if you dont test it to be sure it's at therapeutic levels. Good luck!
