Honestly just looking for confirmation of what I believe is Ich. Planning on setting up a 40g QT if it is. Should have done it before hand but I’m that impatient guy who’s never had an issue with other fish lol. white spots on his left and another on his right. He did go in recently and was bullied by the Powder blue and purple tang the first couple days not so much now. He’s been in for a week total and just noticed this today. Other fish don’t have any spots at all yet. He was being shy due to me trying to net him out to get a closer look. This is the best footage I could get without having to capture him.

Under the impression it may be something else because the spot that’s closest to his gill is kinda hanging off. Also looks a bit big to be ich

I don't see this as Ich, however as you indicated the footage could be better. I can see the white areas and with 2 established Tangs this is likely due to aggression and healing. Don't be surprised if you have more. I would just monitor him for now as he looks otherwise healthy.

Appreciate the feedback. Will continue to monitor and hopefully it subsides. Will throw an extra cube and nori leaflet today to keep others entertained and away.

Not Lympho. That usually presents on the edges of the Fins, almost never on the Body.
@Jay Hemdal

I literally just got my angles that had it all over his body. Started feeding DKI 1.3 B-Glucan and got him into tiny big tank with better water filtrations and off they went. They came back one more time for a day or two. Now all gone. They do occur on the body to in severe cases.

Edit for pic addition

In Angels, that can happen, but in my experience usually on or around the mouth, on the peak of the head, but very rare on the middle of the Body.
Also, Lympho does not appear and disappear in a day. It builds slow and disappears slow. You may have something else going on. Nice looking group BTW.

My maroon female had it on her Gil plates. One of the chuck that I could pop off went under a microscope to make sure.

The spot is too large to be ich. However, I did notice the fish "fin flicking" a few times in two different videos. That can be a sign of skin flukes. Watch for any scratching/flashing against surfaces, if you see that in any fish, I would strongly suspect flukes here. You can treat that with praziquantel:

Awesome info. Thank for the links to some direct info. Interestingly enough appears to be reef safe? Would there be anyways to confirm outright whether it’s ich or flukes? I can setup a fish trap to take the sucker out and examine

If it has ich, it is in the early stages, where any trophonts on the fish are not really visible......

Seems like a hurry up, wait and have a QT ready incase of the worst scenario. I did go and check on him and on the right side I don’t see the bump anymore. Just looks like a little discoloration in that area as if he scratched himself.

Edit to add the video.

Haven’t been able to see the other side but this is the side that had the bump further back on his body.

The scrapes could be self/inflicted from flukes, or it could be from being chased by another fish. I still don’t see any clear evidence of ich.

How is the fish breathing? The other tank mates how are they doing? Anyone flashing? Breathing faster than normal?
Today the spot is gone. Looks more like a blemish or discoloration. I did my best to post a video from this morning with white light. I didn’t see the spot on the other side either. I did notice he had a nipped fin so I think he was being bullied while I wasn’t looking and the cave he swims into is pretty tight(from my perspective at least) so possibly self harm? He’s breathing fine eating good, haven’t seen any flashing or stress related behaviors.(been sitting in front of my tank for at least an hour now. Thankful to work from home..) may have to add more caves the tangs can’t follow into. Still observing in case it is flukes.

I retract my statement. I believe it may be ich I see a spots I didn’t initially see more so around his gill. I don’t see any other fish with these spots tho so is it maybe flukes? @Jay Hemdal what do you think once I turned the lights white I saw what I didn’t see earlier.

Some be of those spots might be ich, but the clear ones are mucus plugs, they are more attached at the base than ich would be. Still, ich and mucus plugs are commonly seen together on tangs.
