Hey you guys. Got this brand new Anthias fish and put it in QT. The following day I notice it has this white patch. Does it look like ICH? Or lympho? Thanks you guys.

Ick spots are white to grey, oval shaped the size of sugar and vary a tad in size. You can count them.

Velvet is like fine flour, round, and could not be reasonably counted.

Your fish is not prone to ick.

Sorry for some reason I am attaching the files, but it keeps saying error. I posted it on another site. But, its the white patch on the tail fin. Thank you again.

The one spot on the tail fin does not look like Ich/crypto to me. I suspect lymphocystis, or possibily an injury from another fish. Keep an eye on it to see if it changes in size. Unless some type of infection develops, and if it is lymphocystis, it should gradually heal on its on.

Thank you so much for being my second pair of eyes! I really appreciate your inputs.

Not ick, Brook, or velvet so that’s a good thing.
I’d do nothing
Lymph if anything.
Thank you so much man!! I didn’t think it was ICH either, but I just wanted a second pair of eyes. I really appreciate you taking time to respond. You guys are awesome!

It’s good to keep watch.
Many things just come and go.
A fish who eats, is a fish that’s fine.
They say the Anthais requires multiple feedings per day.
Mine are fine with twice.
Good luck.
