I was given this coral by someone that said it's supposed to be very colorful and he couldn't get it to color up. I thought that I would treat it like a plate Coral until I know how to care for it.

It has a bowl shaped hard bottom.

Thanks :)

My camera was picking up the blues. Does this location look goof for it?

Bottom right corner. Shaded by giant frogspawn or should I give it just a little more light. Also, will it sting other corals? I'll be feeding it some mysis and Lrs reef frenzy :)

Torn between a Trachy and a Welso...

Give it a low flow so it will encourage it to catch food and open
Better not shadow but actinic and feed is good but not big pices something like zooplankton powder dissolved in solution with water from the tank with a turkey you can spread gently round it

Very beautiful tank:)

Thank you :D I have reef roids, reef chili, coral frenzy, reef bugs complete (everyone loves) small and medium Hikari sinking pellets, frozen cyclops too [emoji12] I think I'll start it on cyclops since it hasn't had food in a while.

My tank is my baby lol, Thank you [emoji2]

It's Trachyphyllia geoffroyi, Wellsophyllia radiata has been separated as it's own genus and species now. So that one is a Trachyphyllia geoffroyi (:

New location. T5 only 32" from the bulbs. I have very clean sand so it looks brighter than it actually is on camera. It gets ATI Coral + blue + and purple +. The blastos like it there :D
