not sure what this is.i lifted a rock from my tank and this stuff was under it.i don't know what it is.

I can't emagine it being an algae if under the rock with no light, depending on how long it has been there.
It's hard to get a recognition of color with the blue light.

I can. I have found cheato in areas of my sump where no direct light is being shined on the algae. But I agree, maybe in another type of light, we can ID it.
