please ID this tree- like growth. 3 sprouts together, middle of pic
Out during the day, close at nite.
1 1/2 years later and I'm still finding new stuff coming out of my LR, why would you ever go with Dry Rock?

One or the other for sure
They're the same thing. :) there are a few types of them but feather, feather duster, etc are all typical names that are used to refer to them.

Yeah I'm new to it also as you can tell
You're good! When someone posts "+1" or something similar it means they are adding their vote in support of what you said. :)

I've not known feather dusters to pulse. There are a few types. Did you look at the link I provided? There are pictures.

Can you take a picture of what you have that pulses?

Sure, but these don't pulse either.
I was sure these are the feather dusters
I checked the link, but this new pic shows the duster and more of these palm trees things, off white, very small

I just see feather dusters in that picture. They will retract if the light changes or if they capture some food. Maybe that's what you are seeing?

The different species can account for the differences you are seeing.

Thanks again, I was hoping for something new. I'm watching a new Sun coral offspring. Its stuff like this that really makes this hobby.
