A week or two ago I noticed what looked like a tiny curled up purple tube. Didn't think much of it at the time, but this week I now count about 6 of them around my tank. Could someone tell me what they might be?

Looks like Vermtid snails, kill them with fire. lol in all seriousness... they're ugly, they reproduce super fast, and they send out stringy webs to catch debris in the tank and can irritate corals in the tank. I had a million of them in my 20 gallon long tank I just tore down.

What do they look like when they start to grow? Just pulled a rock out and it's covered in little white things

This is the back of my tank that had them real bad. I haven't gotten around to cleaning it out yet.

They aren't a HUGE deal from my experience but they sure are ugly... I think it was Bumble Bee snails that you can get that will eat them but I'm not too sure...

I think you're looking at two different creatures here.

The purple tubes are vermetid snails, and they're snot-slingers. The little white curlies are spirorbid worms, much less annoying - unless they're on your front glass. They're not too difficult to remove though, if they are on the glass...

Use super glue to glue over the opening of the worm if they become an issue.
