I believe the defining characteristic of Euphyllia cristata is the skeletal ridges on the mouth area.
There's tissue recession on this coral. If I could count the septa, it would confirm cristata. But the tissue recession isn't showing any large septa.

This is not my picture,
But this is what a cristata looks like

Well after seeing your photos... no lol. I'll have to research now. Were sold to me as torches though. Hrmm
When they retract, if you see a protruding skeleton in a fan shape, it's a cristata.

Mine was fine to live with the torches. Nobody bothered it.

Edit, pic above perfectly showed the skeleton I was talking about

I am hoping the pic helps him out. His coral does need some tlc.
Best of luck with it!

Edit: also for the record.
The little green tip torch is an indo. That big tall purple fat one is an aussie. It wasn't always that big.

Any advice on the TLC? (Sorry its forcing caps lol). Its opening slot more now but the tentacles are probably only an inch long. The base flesh puffs up beautifully during the day. But if I'm doing something wrong would love the advice.
When the one on sand recedes it definitely shows the fans so it's a cristata. The other never pulls in like that even at night. Thanks.

If you can, take a picture of the coral sleeping at night. It could be an aussie torch which is a fat headed short tentacle as well.
Here are both the one that doesnt have a long stem is for sure a cristata. Just took these sleep mode.

Sadly I'm new to traumatized torches. Mine likes
alk at 8.5 to 9.
Calcium between 450 - 480.
Magnesium 1400 -1500
Phosphates .3
Nitrates 5-10
My healthy torch won't pout until Alk drops to 8. The indo is more sensitive.
Maybe someone else can chime in for more help.

The original pics are from only being in the tank 24-48 hours. They extend and fluff up nicely now. I just dont think they are a long tentacle variety.

Sg 1.025-1.026
Calc 450
Mag 1420
Nitrate 5ppm
Phos 0 (I know I know I'm working on this lol)
Alk 11
Temp 78
Ph 8.4

don't chase numbers too much.
I just don't think it's an indo torch or a christata. It doesn't have those large septas. Most likely a nice aussie. I don't know how big indos get. But my aussie is near 6"+ fully extended per head now. Just try to maintain your numbers the best you can. Keeping the ph from bouncing will help it a lot. Which I forgot in my numbers.
