I recently acquired this coral from my mom due to it not doing well in her tank. She doesn’t remember what it is and I have not had much luck trying to ID it myself. Hopefully someone here can help.

Hydnophora s my best guess; Montipora would be next. Would need to see a clearer, higher-resolution photo to be sure

can you get a closer shot? I'm starting to doubt it's a Hydnophora; the monticules look too small.
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
