Does anyone own this yet? Any suggested mods for it? I'm between the Abyss and the Peninsula... I'm going more toward the Abyss because of the larger filtration compartment...
I want to turn this into an office candy tank. Obviously it will need a good ATO(considering the smart ATO) and I wont be putting fish in there so I should not need to skim.

The bottom layer will be for this guy. Its a 3.5-4 inch WWC Bounce mama

The top layer will be for 10+ rainbow chalices.
To be honest I like the peninsula much better but I just don't think there is enough space in the back for additions to the filtration. And it only has one return which would mean I would need some type of little powerhead in here to produce more flow.

I'm open to all suggestions, recommendations etc.

If i was to get one I would get the abyss because of the reasons you mentioned above. I prefer the bigger filtration compartment and the two returns.

I am likely going to get an Abyss tonight. I haven't found crap about them online though.

Post about it!!!
Cough,peninsula... but thats acually a tuff decision lol. If your going with a dropoff tank, you should be able to look at it from all sides. My opinion with the other, is it looks very wierd seeing a dropoff from left to right. Just get a bigger pump and put a small T if the flow isnt crazy enuff lol

I was thinking maybe a stronger pump and a spray bar? Gonna get the shop guy to make me one
This wont need an insane amount of flow, the bounce doesnt like high flow and chalices are easssyyyyyyy

This build is gonna need a bad *** name! Its gonna be cute. I really wanna put a candy bass in here too.
Thinking of upgrading the return pump and running a TLF carbon reactor filled with de-nitrate and purigen off of it and plumbing that into the return. Makes up for the lack of filtration space IMO

I believe in innovative products. I've always used them in my tanks. If you upgrade the pump it does give it a decent random motion. I was gonna do all high end Zoas, shrooms, and leptos. Can't wait to see what you build

Will do! I read it in more detail and its acrylic. Not sure I want to screw around with it. I have some acrylic frag tanks and they scratch so easy!
