I have the IM 30l, and considered this exact tank for a future upgrade. How’s the tank coming along?

I upgraded from a 30L. Yeah, its going well. I would go back to a sump if I had to chose again. The hanging t5's are a pain to work around.

Completely understand. The AIO can be really nice, but the con is that you are really limited for space.

Nice looking tank! Well done.

I had a goni out of the blue bleach about a month ago out of nowhere, & thought things just die. I made a post yesterday in my local forum because I still saw it with some pigment & very small polyp extension. They pointed out i have flatworms!
My fault because I haven't been dipping my corals. I ran to the local reef store to get flatworm exit but they made me realize to use that as a last resort. I'm most likely going to get a 6line wrasse. They had melanrus but they were big boys. Theyre going to try to get some in for next week. I read dragonettes are good for it as well, but I just started my copepod culture.

Anyway, here's a picture of the flatworms and just random shots I took at the same time

Added a 6line a few days ago. I was going to quarantine, however, I decided to just put it in tank. Ironically, its the midas blenny that's the bully.

I went to reefapoolza in NJ today(even though they say NY). First time ever going. I was so overwhelmed! Picked up a few frags for some really good prices. Got some art, some pitho crabs, and some other things. Next year ill plan it out better to buy things lol.

Anyway, i moved a bunch of stuff around in my tank, so some things are ticked off in the pictures I took.

These pitho crabs are funny. I threw in an algae wafer & they emerged from the sand. Sometimes I just see little claws sticking out
Funny how your crab will just be buried in the sand, take the food, and disappear back into the sand

Got my ATI results back.
I really thought I had high phosphates, but either I did the hanna test wrong or just faulty tester.

I bought some redsea B for alkalinity, arrives Monday. Excited to get the levels up.
Also bought redsea iodine +

Otherwise, pretty happy with the results.

We had a storm last night and it possibly bricked my coralvue hydros launch. Its crazy because it was connected to surge protector as well. I suppose not all surge protectors are created equal.

Luckily, the brain of it was moved to the other hydros products I have hooked up. I just don't have some minor things not functioning ex: salinity, ph probes. And for some reason the heater probe wont connect. I hooked up the rest to the wifi strips & other sense ports on the x3. Im glad most of the products I have , have their own controller like helios heater.

The hydros launch is flashing red & white which possibly means hardware failure. I opened it up & unplugged the fuse breaker and I got it to work, but it kept disconnecting from the internet. Of course it happened when coralvue was closed. They responded on Facebook last night, but waiting to hear from there tech support today.

I've been looking into purchasing an XP8 for about a month now because the wifi strips aren't super reliable(they disconnect a lot but usually do reconnect). I really didnt want to shell out the cash, but I just placed it on order.

I'm just glad I was home when this happened. Its funny though because I got the hydros kraken in case of power going out, which it works great for. Never thought about one of the hydros failing lol.(it was the storms fault though). I wasn't writing this to bash hydros, I love this thing. Just goes to show no matter how much you think about backups, stuff still happens lol.

Looks like the launch will arrive to coralvue today. Fingers crossed

I installed a 1000watt UPS. Looks like full output of everything connected to my tank is around 700watts. However, only 1 of the heaters will run. The other is a backup so thats 200 less. And the t5's take up about 220watts but they're not on all day as well.

I might try my luck at a spotted mandarin to eat the flatworms

Bought a spotted mandarin today. Hopefully it will eat flatworms!

Coralvue got back to me and said the launch is toast. They gave me a discount on a new one, so had no choice but to buy it.

I bought 2 new plate corals, they arrived today. Theyre tiny but ill try to get a picture later.

Ohhh.. almost bought a CAD 100g w/ stand and sump used. Someone close by is selling it for $300 used for 2 years.
Its a no brainer... however, the logistics of swapping everything over into the same spot is something I can't fathom doing right now. Someone else lucky will pick that up for a steal

Getting some cyano on the back left corner of my tank because of no flow there. I ordered a jabeo dmp 40 off aliexpress last week. Should be arriving today. Couldn't justify spending the $$ for another mp40. I used to have another mp40 but it was super overkill. The dmp 40 cost me $130.... I purchased the Bluetooth version because I dont need the wifi.

Also went to clean the UV for first time ever. Bought it new in January... I took rhe sleeve out and the sleeve was broken. No pieces fell out so im assuming its always been broken from the factory. I emailed Aqua and seeing if they can do anything for me. In the mean time I ordered a new one and bulb because I need it running.

Wow haven't updates this in awhile.
Well, 1 velvet met its maker pretty quickly stuck to the side of an mp40 with the guard on it. Im sure the other died soon after somewhere. Super delicate, needs like NO flow.
However, I started dosing coral snow & little while after that the flatworms disappeared lol. I wasn't using that to kill flatworms, but seems it killed excess nutrients & flatworms went bye bye.

I've also setup an auto doser so now my alk is stable.

Anyway, here's a photo dump from yesterday
