INDO torch crinkles on tentacles

Hi everyone!! I have recently purchased a dragon soul and New York knicks and they are thriving in my tank no problems at all... but I did notice something weird the tentacles on both my torches has crinkles on them throughout the day. During the day both torches are nice and big and swaying like no ones business haha I believe I read something that temperature might have to do with it ?

Not sure honestly. Mine do this sometimes as well. I do know they will shrink or grow in tentacle size (width and length) depending on light and chemistry. I’m sure heat is involved also.

Yeah, no idea but mines are thriving and looks amazing beside the crinkles just thought I am doing something wrong ...

Flow is usually the biggest factor in tentacle appearance. A choppy/ turbulent flow will normallly result in shorter fatter tentacles whereas the same strain will exhibit longer skinnier tentacles when in longer swell or sweeping type of flow in my experience. It will take a little bit of time for it to adjust to different follow patterns.
Chemistry and lighting will play a role for sure since the overall health will have an effect on the amount of expansion it will exhitbit in either condition.
I could also see the tentacles shriveling a bit, or recessing totally if the lighting is too intense too quickly. If you’ve made a lighting change recently make sure to use an acclimation procedure that will allow ample time for the coral to adjust healthily.

FWIW....mine had one tenticle crinkled for the first 2 days it was in my tank. Have not seen the crinkle since.
