I'm considering adding a second photon 32v2 to my tank to get better light spread from front to back. will this increase par running at the same intensity or will it just increase part near the corners?

These numbers are just examples, but would I more likely have par a or par b running 2 fixtures?

You don't have to if you don't like the color. Greens are purely for color, since there is plenty of green in the neutral whites we use. Reds can contribute to growth however they are dwarfed by the royal blues and violets in terms of output power.

How wide is your tank front to back? How high off of the water if your light right now?

Looking good!
Thanks!

Just personal preference. I run them very low while the whites are one. I think they add to the "daylight" look. I think the greens seem to give it a "HD" look if that makes any sense at all.
Whhhaaattt? totm? I'm not worthy, but thanks!
Sure you are! Tank looks good and I like the lights your running...[emoji12]

Nice tanks and information! I'm looking at one of Photon 48s for my new 90 gallon. Any thoughts on how well this will cover? Its 24" deep with a center brace.

It looks like these are currently out of stock now :(

Hey Logan. Was a pleasure meeting you the other day. Can't wait to see the 4 - 24" V2's over the 315 gal. Will post pics once it gets going.

Has anyone heard when the 48s will be back in stock? I emailed Reef Breeders yesterday asking a few questions but never got a response back.

Wow! What size tank is that over? It seems like most people have said just one has been a lot of power at high levels.

It's not so much about power as it is about coverage. In an ideal world I would have led panel over the entire top of the tank, similar to the LANI fixtures. This would primarily be to keep light levels more consistent around the tank and to reduce shadowing.

Absolutely correct. Right now I'm at max 45% intensity.

Oh ya of course, that makes sense. Just depends on if that is work another $600. What size tank is that double fixture over and how wide is it?

My tank is 20" wide. If you keep an eye on the classifieds, you may be able to find 2 used fixtures for less than 1 new one. That's what I did!

I'm looking to light my tank and its a standard 90 gallon (24" wide). I'm afraid one wont get me enough front to back coverage.

I've been looking for used ones but figured with the V2s being so new, people wouldn't have them for sale yet. Did you find them on here?

Imo 1 fixture isn't enough for 24" unless you hang it really high and crank up the intensity. I have a frag rack on the front corner of the tank and with 1 fixture I was barely getting 150 part. I could see that my acros on the rack were struggling. Now with the second fixture I'm at 300 par and I notice much better PE already. I got both on the R2R dry goods classifieds

It's always nice to meet customers in person, that's what I enjoy the most about having the new warehouse and attending tradeshows in the area! Please keep me updated on your tank, I would love to see some progress once you get the new setup running.

Added a second photon v2. Will get par measurements tomorrow

WOW! That's a lot of light haha.

They should be back in mid january, you can sign up to be notified on the website, we will send an email when they are back in. They will also be on sale, it is a sea shipment so we were able to cut our costs a little, and we are extending this to our customers.
