Is anyone running a Octopus Extreme

I am looking into buying a Skimmer for my new system.
And VI Pets carries the Octopus Line and there "New" Skimmers with all of the up grades look very similar to the higher priced units.

Is anyone running a Octopus Extreme with the Sicci motor ?

I'm running a Octopus Pro 250. i had the old askroll pump that came with it and the impeller broke, so i sent it in for and received a FREE sicce pump in reutrn under warranty. Runs great with the needlewheel and produces great skimate. i would highly reccomend... and not to mention the cost is about half that of a comprable skimmer!!!

I am using an octopus 160 extreme. I think it is working very well but I dont have much to compare it to. When I upgrade I will get a larger MSX.

I run the MSX 250 (same as the octopus xtreme) and love it. had it for almost 2 years and the sicce pumps rock. tons of nasty skimmate and great build quality. I use the mesh mod, but hear the needle wheel works great as well.

In my opinion you cant beat them for the price. They skim well and the warranty is great. I have been a distributor for several years.

I have an octo extreme 200 and love it! It is a fantastic skimmer! Highly recommend it!

Like Werdlone, I'm running a MSX 250. I also just bought a msx160 for my 60 cube.

I couldn't be happier with the overall performance, and quailty. I get some nasty skimmate from my 200 total gallon system.

I'm pretty heavily stocked with a lot of sps and everything is happy.

I've had octo's and swc(same as the msx) pin wheels on swc seem to work better,swc or msx blow octo's out of the water in terms of perfomance!!!!!
