So I have a year old 45g cube with some LPS and softies. Total maybe 20-25 corals. It's not overly stocked, so maybe this is pretty normal, but I feel there would be some use in my alkalinity or calcium levels.

I checked over a week and looks like no use of any alk or calcium.
Check Alk with Hanna 8.5 and Calcium with Red Sea 425.

Is this normal?

How new is the tank. It can take time for a tank to use up enough alk/calc/mag before noticing it. Water changes are enough before this happens

It's a year old and yeah very well could be, this is my first reef tank.
