so if i have a new tank thats been up for like 3 mths not enough coraline algae i should get rid of him?

what size is your tank? if it's a big urchin in a small tank, then i might consider removing it, but if it's a small one in a big tank i wouldn't worry at all. they are good detrivores.

i have a 72g.. havent been seeing much coraline action but then again its only been like 3 mths. still having an issue with algae hair.
i think my media is exhausted. media has ben in reactor for like a little over a week maybe 2. found out i need new cartridges for my spectrapure.. i havent been able to change the enitire tanks water.. all i see is lagae hair on glass not on rocks, isnt that weird.. i also hear algae hair will not promote coraline algae growth, is that true also

I have a 174 and I catch my pencil urchin and tuxedo urchin both eating the coralline
