New to the hobby still, I have a frogspawn that has been doing well for about 5 weeks and now has retracted for about 5 days but still maintains amazing color and is starting to look like it may be splitting . I'm interested in what to look for characteristics, ect to indicate it is splitting. Thank you.

When my frogspawn starts to split I'll see the mouth of the head that's splitting become elongated and then slowly there will be two mouths. From there the new head starts to branch off. Tough to tell exactly what's going on from the pictures you provided.
