I purchased this frag from my local LFS and he told me it was a blasto. From what i've seen online it doesn't really look like a blasto. Can anyone identify this? Thanks.

Don't take my word as gospel.. but I favor acan

That is absolutely a Micrumussa lord, not in any way a Blastomussa. If your LFS worker told you that was a Blasto, he should not be working at a fish store! I'm sorry you were misinformed.
Good luck and God bless you!

It’s an acan - not very different in terms of needs from a blasto, both beautiful corals

Thanks everyone for the quick response. You guys are awesome.

Acan and it’s also currently known as micromussa lordhowensis
I call them "micros" all the time, and I feel like I'm not using the proper slang in my LFS as they all look at me funny until I say "acan". As a scientist (and not a snobby one), I would prefer to call them more appropriately by micromussa... or whatever their shortened slang hobby name is, but not sure what to call them. Some of the hardcore hobbyists out there seem to talk a foreign language to me :)
