Hey everyone,

I have a frag of BC Houdini acro. It's been in my tank for 5-6 months now. It has only encrusted part of the top of the plug and got a tad thicker. Over the past few weeks I noticed two numbs have cyano / brown algae growing on dead skeleton. I looked at the coral closer and tissue is dying on the top side facing lights. The sides of the acro not facing the lights have a healthier looking skin and the polyps are more vibrant. It's sitting in about 375 par, flow is pretty high it's the highest section that my tank has.

Is this Coral telling me to move it to less par or less flow? I have a couple of other smooth skins in a different part of the tank that are doing very good, where I can place this one.

Thank you

I would think at 5-6 months it has likely acclimated to your PAR there, but when mine stall I do sometimes move them.

I would also check to see that it is not getting any direct flow from a powerhead.
