I have had this tank up and running since mid January. All of my parameters are good and I do a 5 gallon water change weekly (29 gallon Biocube). I started with 20 pounds of dry rock and 5 pounds of live rock (you can see some of the live rock in the back right). All of the dry rock turned brown and the CUC took care of that once they were introduced. Now it is forming this bright green algae on it the the CUC is not taking care of. The live rock seems to be immune to this. My sand bed is clean.

Any ideas if this is a problem and how I should go about taking care of it?

Thanks in advance. 20160409_161207_HDR.jpg

Looks perfectly normal, coralline should come next.

As always check the appropriate chemistry for the issue, like nitrates and phos just to rule those out.

All rock will grow algae under the right conditions regardless of if you started with dry or live or cured live.

that actually looks nice

its something I wouldn't mow down with a host of chems, that looks neon nice alternation of generations we have there. until that rock is purple with coralline, which excludes most other invaders, the colors w come and go. this is nice phase. at any time you could lift out your rock and clean it off outside tank
