So when i bought this walling hammer it was initially massively open and puffy about a month ago and now it doesn’t seem that open at all as if the last few days, before that it basically stayed the same if not a touch smaller than initially. What is happening, i cant see any pests and all my other lps are doing great, could it be positioning?

The first is when i first got it and then the last is this morning. I am also seeing a tiny but of tissue reduction at the base, but it still ate a load of lps pellets when i fed yesterday

Can you provide basic chemistry values please.
Light fixture and intensity?
How often are you feeding it? Over feeding can cause bacterial infections and a decline in water quality.

Nitrates 10
Phosphate 0.05
Calcium 440
Mg 1350
Alkalinity 9.1

I feed around once a week, i have a tmc reef photon about 10 inches off the surface, my current thought is its getting a bit too high light

These guys are sensitive and unfortunately if even one small area of them gets an issue it can spread to the entire thing since it’s one large polyp. I recommend dipping in an antibiotic to be safe. If there is an infection developing it is always better to be proactive and begin treatment early

Household diy products would be (diluted in saltwater) a dip/bath with hydrogen peroxide (very mild external antibiotic / antiviral properties, but excellent at destroying algae films, decaying tissue, etc)

Next step would be a lugols / iodine based dip
