Is this normal or Vermetidae snails?

Is this normal or Vermetidae snails on the stock? Been there for about a month thought maybe it was new heads but after reading a recent post I'm not sure now, so any help would be great.

No never seen anything crazy on it there's like 6 between the 2 heads

Appears to be vermetid. Good time to grab a pair of pliers and break it off in whole before it gets larger and more established.

Thanks so just pretty much clip it at the base should hopefully do the trick?
