First of all; wow wave to move forward in this hobby!!Been dosing phyto plankton and it has helped drop my Po4 considerably (maybe to much). Nitrates are down as well.
I'm only using nannochloropsis. Probably spelled wrong. I have found that when I let the culture go for an extra day with out fertilizer before using or splitting that it reduces nutrients in my reef instead of raises them. Arguably I use a lot when doing this, more than any normal hobbyist should. My total water volume is roughly 375 gallons and I use a gallon of phyto once a week on my heavy day and a quarter gallon every other day. It's part of the experimenting I'm doing.First of all; wow wave to move forward in this hobby!!
So about dosing phyto to reduce Po4… how many different one are you dosing and how much? have you seen one kind help more than others?
My nitrates and phosphates always run high with my FOWLR. Need to get my phyto cultures going again.
Awesome. Please DM me your availability for this weekend and next week. ThanksIf you want a starter come on down and see the tank and I'll bottle you up a gallon or so.
