Nah, I am sure you all wanted to know what's going on. It's been pretty emotional last month. As far as I know, it isn't over. Dad in law is battling a weird type of cancer. Mom in law is a wreck. So, we've been doing what we can to clam(calm) her down. I am so drained. Like an empty tank with no water in it.

So, dad is law is in good shape for having his face cut into and having the mass removed. They are giving him 10 days of chemo here soon to get the rest of whatever they cant see.

As far as the reef tank goes, I have lost a few coral, most of my hammers, my yumas, The fish are tip top shape. I can't recall who else passed...

Really sorry! Is it a sarcoma? I know many people that have been affected by various types of cancer. My boss's son is currently battling a very rare and aggressive cancer in his face. The closest person to me, was my father. His was esophageal with a very low survival rate. After going through chemo and radiation, they removed his entire esophagus and stretched his stomach up to his throat. He has been cancer free for over 10 years now. Cancer is the word that sucks all the air out of the room when you hear it. I'll be sending all my positive healing vibes to your father in law and strength vibes to you and your family to be able to stay strong, while he battles in the trenches.

I do not know the name, mom is law is sleeping so I will ask her once she wakes up. She's been going through hell. All we believe is, he was in a military camp where the water got contaminated. She believes it's the cause for the cancer. It randomly shows up on his skin, now in his nose. The doctor gave him 2 options as the cancer was causing sever nose bleeds as well. 1 nose removal, 2 chemo. He has heart problems, 72 yrs old, works like a mule. We're all hoping 10 days of chemo wont hurt his heart further.

Eli, is very chill. All the fish have come to terms she isn't going to eat them or try. But, the moment my turkey baster hits the water, she goes rabid, it's feeding time!

Turkey baster is now how I deliver her food. Husband loves to see her out of her tube. She spends most of her time there when she eats. I haven't had the will power to snag pics of her all out and about.

I sure hope not. I got some catching up to do.
Welcome back for a little bit anyway! Hopefully everything works out good for the family. It's always good to get to take a small break and rest here and there. My brother is going through some tough times in his house right now too. I was just talking to him yesterday. I feel for both of you!

It's part of life. When things go bad, I like to hide and pretend I don't exist. Husband and son wont allow that. Even the dog has been howling her lungs out at me. I'm doing what I can to get back from a full shut down.

Here's a morning family pic.

Actual reef updates since my mind isn't as foggy. Petinia waged war with birds nes. Birdsnest died from serious infection which spread to my gold hammer and octospawn. Somewhere in the chaos, my yumas from sfin got infected as well. October has been horrifying.

Everyone else is growing.

I like this photo. Scopas tang is acting like the cbbs reflection. Blurry, but cool in a sense.

SCA 112g system.

Equipment in use
Lights Orbit marine IC led (I hate these things) Noopsyche K7V3 x3.
SCA skimmer 302
SCA sump made as a fuge
return pump sca something. Its just all so generic. Jabaeo 4000 return pump. Very very quiet. I have had it for 6 months now.

Livestock
Emperor Angelfish - powder blue tang - melanurus wrasse - one spot foxface - 2 clown fish - 2 firefish

Random hammer corals - 2 torches - Birdsnest - Gonioporas

My aquarium is boring.

Edit: There has been a lot of live stock changes. The emperor and Powder blue needed new homes.
Powder blue was just too aggressive, emperor was just massive.
I have since added
scopas tang
Atrosalarias holomelas
Carpenter Wrasse Him and bristlestar are missing. :(
July 2022
Bristlestar has been found. No pics of the booger.

Melanurus wrasse was removed due to sand spitting on corals. Beautiful fish, but not working out.
Added a female ribbon eel. Named her Eli. She's been in main display since Junly 09,22.

What is not to love with pectinias? They are just a bowl of colors!

I turned the par down, all the lps seem to enjoy that much more. My myagi tort has lost a lot of color, but is growing much faster now.

all my SPS hated the low lights for dinos.... Looking gray and cruddy. Bumping them back up slowly as we keep those nutrients on track and vac CITY

Dinos are monsters. My sps didn't gray out on me, just the nice golden green hue is gone. Slowly bring light back up as well. Cynarina was bleaching on me, torch was closing up.
This one looks really good. Waters cloudy, urchin and snails spawing...

Glad to see you back. So sorry to hear about everything going on, reef and otherwise
It's pleasently comforting to be back. Just, I just down mentally and emotionally when loved ones get sick.
Things are much better. We've all got pieces to pick up and skeletons to hide.
