Mine are also bad. I have a monti cap that is trying to grow over them and they just keep getting their tubes longer and longer. The Cap looks a bit silly with spikes coming out of it!

I know exactly what you mean. But, i think its cool as hell.


In the sump, theres about 10x10 inches of compressed algae that grew in a box shape...
I might pull the whole cube out. When i get gloves...

Did not change filter sock last night. Woke up to


Syphoning daily and changing sock daily has helped a ton. However, skip one night on not changing the sock and its long stringy snot. That'll learn me

So dino outbreak is very calm this morning. But.. some interesting pics.

My green monti. I dunno what it is, made a guess. Now im not sure. Too lazy to setup a clunky par meter (seneye)
I know on the wall theres lower par. The polyps are orange. Under higher par, just normal polys.

Horrible side pics.

Main colony, plenty of light,no orange polyps. But, purple rim.

Fish bombs. We love fish!

Due to the weather, my sump heater has shown it's age. Stuck the bulky heater in main display for the below freezing weeks.
Due to reviews and size i can use in sump, i went with this thing.
Lets hope no electric shock inc.

My build is a ninja... Yuh.. i dumbo where I'm going with that.

Heater installed, will check hourly to see if i get zapped, or.... if the temp drops and it cant do the job its been paid for.

I think this and the combo of bumblebees is what knocked mine from the display.

Yesterday I took apart my uv sterilizer pump because it was suddenly barely flowing and cut the **** out of my hand on the verms in there :rolleyes:

I'd rather them in the sump for sure, but man I was not prepared.

They seem to love to gather around equipment pieces and parts. I had a power head I tossed because it was coated with the fdamn things.
