Thing is I've hanged around all of the sites: monsterfishkeepers, saltwaterfish.com, reef central, shark ray central and a few ofhers. Literally all of them are inactive.I wonder if they go to other sites, when I first started I was looking heavily on MonsterFishKeepers.
Depends on the eels. If they are blunt mouthed eels you might be able to get them used to eating nothing but mussels/shellfish.My first go around was predators but wanted more fish options this go around. My next big tank will be a predator setup as the eels I want probably don't mix with small fish well.
You'd think people would like predators much more than they do. I guess I'm the weird one, not the other way around.Preds aren't for everyone and a lot of time mixing a pred in with smaller fish or a reef can be problematic at best. Preds are where I have been for a while and where I am still at. They have the wild variety of weird fish and critters that aren't normally seen. There are also the many preds that are species only. Some species only tank larger tanks then some are willing to devote to a species.
Pred keepers seem to be a rare breed in fish keeping.
Thanks! That would help a lot. It becomes really awkward when I find myself having replied to pretty much all of the threads here.Help keep the posting active and I will target predatory tank owners on FB and email!
Clown trigger probably. Emperor angel would probably duke it out with him before dying of stress due to not being the dominant fish in the tank.Ok folks, who would you expect to lead the tank? I list them in order of size:
Snowflake eel, 18"
Niger trigger 6"
Emporer Angel 5"
Dalmatian puffer 4.5"
Clown trigger 4"
Purple tang 3.5"
Totally agree with you. I'm hoping 2 be able 2 get my hands on a few other Echidna genus eels not commonly seen. I'm currently still working on stocking my tank I have now but researching and planning on these as I'm in a holding pattern at the moment (might be moving ).Depends on the eels. If they are blunt mouthed eels you might be able to get them used to eating nothing but mussels/shellfish.
