I just heard that Jake Adams, of Reef Builders, just passed away today. With his passing, the reef community suffer a great loss. It will be very difficult to fill his shoes. A great loss for us all. For me, it is impossible to count the times I was wowed by his video. RIP Jake. You will be miss.

This is a sad day for us all.

What??? Is this hear say, how would someone post this before family would know? Some more info would be a big plus here. Condolences to his family and friends if it is true.

It's legit. I have no idea if the family didn't know before the announcement or not, and there hasn't been an official cause of death announced, but it has been confirmed.

I heard that he passed while on a flight from the US to Asia. I guess he was on one of the trips related to reef work.
He was so young, only about 40.
RIP Jake. May your beautiful soul enter in the Reef in the Sky.

I'm still trying to process the passing of Jake Adams. I just recently enjoying listening to his latest session of Reef Therapy with Mark. I've learned so much from him over the past couple of years. He is a legend in the reefing world. I hope we can commemorate his life work, maybe even name some corals after him. My prayers and thoughts to his wife and family. Rest in peace my friend.

Passing very sad. I just finished reading some of his online blogs about sea animals. Will be missed.
