We would gladly delete the first submissions and consider the last one you post. yet if all members decide to do that is would be an awful task. this is why we ask you to be sure of your submission before posting.
Do post your new submission and PM link to old submission you would like to remove.
thank you ,im good ,not regestisterd to win prizes anyway ;) :)..thanks again

Agree that the purpose of POTM is to have some fun and share great shots and generate some photographic discussions... winning shouldn't be the sole purpose of participating. yet no bug deal to change your picture if you prefer.

The POTM is that once you summit, that is it. No change or modified. I change my picture in the Nov POTM and was disqualified.
I don't recall your pictures being disqualifies in Nov , if indeed there were two pictures then the first one would have been taken into consideration. after POTM submissions are closed, mods vote for the 15 finalists and some pictures don't make it through to the members final vote to chose the winner, so maybe that is why your shot wasn't there in the members vote, yet we haven't disqualified your shots.

I was going by the post from AZMSGT. If I am disqualified, no big deal. It is more about seeing so many great shots anyway.
you wont be disqualified, just post the new picture you want to submit and pm me with link to the pic you want to have deleted and we'll have it removed.

Great shots everyone and an amazing POTM this month!
a little topic clarification, Macro is indeed a 1:1 ratio picture or close, yet we won't be disqualifying any picture that is not there. Macro lenses don't even always get 1:1 ratio pictures!
Voting however would definitely go more towards pictures with good magnification where close detail is seen.

Magnification is tough to judge when a item is very small to start, but in the photo it looks life size. Typically a well photographed macro item will look unmagnified. It’s all very subjective based off the items original size and if the viewer knows the original size of the item.

Just a thought but it would have been a interesting idea to post a real size photo and the macro shot to show the difference for the objects. This of course is a hind site thought and to late to do now.

Great suggestion, didnt think of it, would still make a.nice topic for a dedicated macro thread in the photography forum .
