This is my first thread so I hope its right. This my new 75g build. I am 8 days into my cycle. The 75g tank cost me $50 from a friend, has a few small scratches. The pump main pump is a Quiet One, does like 960g per hour. The pump was free from a friend. The black sump is a $9 tote from the Home Depot. The acrylic refug is a converted filter sump which was free from a friend. Wave maker is a Jaebo wp40, $94 on ebay shipped. Powerheads, 2 Hydor 750/850, I think I paid $42 each shipped from Amazon. Protein skimmer will be arriving today, I went with the CAD lights TIA-1150, $224 shipped ebay. The light is a ReefBreeders Photon48, $500 shipped. I had alot of old live rock (200+ pounds) and purchased 50 pounds from reefcleaners.org (great rock). I cut the live rock with my tile saw then used black pond foam to secure it to the tank. Also, I have a 6 stage RO system with pressure tank, $130 shipped ebay, hooked up to a float for my auto top off. I still have to build doors, a drawer for under the refug and a couple of storage nooks. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Jason

Just put the new skimmer in and it works great. I need to build a diffuser for the micro bubbles.

Refug/sump. Refug is old filter sump around 18g and sump is 28g tote from The Depot. I drilled Refug for two 1" bulkheads. oneside has egg crate with frags and live rock. The other side is my live plants. The substrate is 100% calcium carbonate from a local store, $3.50 for 50lbs.
