Hey Guys!

This is my JBJ Front Panel Build. I will post updates on my tanks progress. I have been out of the hobby for quite some time and am excited to be back. Here is a list of my current set up and tank situation at the moment. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

Equipment:
JBJ 45 front Panel w/ white stand (Tank was set up 12/1/21
AI Hydra 32 with single arm mount
Eheim Jager heater 150w
Intank media basket (Right Chamber) filter floss and a bag of carbon
Filter sock (Left chamber)
Osmolator Universal 3155 Auto Top Off - Tunze
No Skimmer yet... Any suggestions?

Livestock:
3 blue legged hermit crabs
3 Astraea Turbo Snail
1 fighting conch
1 Royal Gamma
2 Banggai Cardinalfish
40 pound Caribsea fiji pink live sand
45 pounds live rock which I glued into a structure and left out overnight and killed... (now in a storage tub curing with a heater and 2 powerheads since 01/3/21)

Please let me know if you have any tips or suggestions. The water in the live rock tub is still testing high for nitrites/ammonia and I cannot seem to get those numbers down regardless of how many 100% water changes I do on a weekly basis.

I look forward to connecting with you all!

#WelcometoR2R!!! Congratulations on the new adventure! It may be that the tank needs to build up the bacteria in the live rock (which will process the ammonia, etc.), instead of doing massive water changes. Have you tried following Dr. Tim's approach to cycling?

Thank you, I am excited to be back!

I believe the live rock has cured/cycled as ammonia is undetectable and nitrates/nitrites have bottomed out at below .5. Is it safe to add the rock to the tank? Also, any recommendations on skimmers? #reefsqaud
