I just started mine at night from 8pm to 8am and for 1 week and still nothing. As my tank is so new it will take 1+ Months to get up and running properly. I like it cause it does not make a mess in my he back chamber of my tank. The only negative thing about it is that if you submerge it all the way in water you will have a ton of salt creep so I was told to raise it up till I break the bubble.

Nice, I hope it works. Are you growing any algae (good/bad) in your DT yet? I’m thinking it shouldn’t take too long to see some growth in there if you’ve got it showing up anywhere else.

Day 19 update. -Ammonia 0.2, Notrites 0.2, Nitrates 50 I added a shrimp 2 days ago as I did not want to kee testing ammonia and ghost feeding. This way is easier, just leave shrimp till cycle is complete. Cycle is not complete, the ammonia and little nitrite is from the shrimp. I started skimmer today as well. I have a very busy weekend but hope I can get some fish in the tank soon.

Day 22 I did a 10% water change.. Ammonia and Nitrites both at 0. I still have high nitrates but that will come down in a few days.

I've been considering growing phytoplankton and copepods as well. Are you doing a DIY or purchased setup?

ITS all diy. Psydon has a package but it’s like 200 bucks. I had the air pump and everything else, I just bought the 1 gallon jugs on eBay for 30 bucks and then the phyto from eBay as well with the f2. So in all it cost me 50 bucks.
