Well, it has been 6 months since I restarted my 20g nano and I though I'd share some photos before I break it down this weekend.

This was my initial set-up from 1994.

- 20g Acrylic made by S&S
- CPR Bak Pak HOB Skimmer
- 40 watts NO flourescent fixture (20w 10K, 20w Actinic)
- (2) Penguin 375 gph powerheads
- 50w heater

I've added a very expensive, ultra high-tech lighting fixture from Oddessea. :D If you're serious about reef keeping, don't buy this fixture!

A DIY 10g sump w/ refugium was added, along with the following components:

-CPR CS50
-CPR filter sock and mount
-Rio 1400
-Aqualifter dosing pump
-Jager 150w heater
-Check valve
-24w PC fixture

This is how the tank looks today.

I have no regular maintenance for this tank. Very minimal water changes had been performed and top off water is just untreated tap water straight from my downstairs bathroom. No checking for water parameters other than water temperature and salinity.

I'm breaking this tank down this weekend to start on another project. :)

Wow...awesome progression Jeff. Since I've only been in the hobby for about a year now, it's amazing to see how far the technology in this hobby has come along and your images depict that to a T. You have a ton of frag discs in the sand bed there...is that what the new project is going to be for...a larger tank to house all those amazing corals?

Great job and best of luck with breaking things down and building back up.

Thanks! :)

I will be moving all of the softies in a 60g with 4 x 54w T5 lighting and I will keep most of the zoos in the 20g with a 150w MH. This 20g will just be all zoos in the near future.

That's a 20 gallon tank? Looks much larger....

Very very nice looking too by the way. :D

Thanks! This 20g has a very odd dimension - 30"L x 15"H x 10"W.

Let me see if I can show some depth from this picture:

This tank is very skinny. I get scratched from the teal trumpet coral everytime I clean the tank. Those frag plugs that you see are againts the acrylic from lack of space.
