John's SPS Shallow 90g Peninsula-Lagoon build

Hey , greetings from New Zealand, just wanted to say that your input on programming Tunze via apex helped me a lot and works like a treat! Thank you for that! Would you be able to help me with adding another two Tunze into pack ?
Cheers Tomas

Thanks! Yeah, I think once you get the hang of programming one, you can simply create modified versions for the other. That’s basically what I did. If there’s anything specific, lmk and I can copy and paste the profiles and virtual outlets here. That way you can just copy and paste, and edit as you like.

Great build thread, enjoyed reading thru it, any updates?
Thanks for checking out my thread. I really haven't kept up with updating this thread much, busy doing other things. Some things have changed, but it's still going. Corals are healthy, but so is the aiptasia population. :p I would like to upgrade to an Innovative Marine 150ext, but I'll probably hold off for now, I'm still trying to recover from last year's strikes (Writer's & Actor's strike), so I'll keep this tank roll'n as long as I can.

Hey man, great build! What are the dimensions of the 25g stand?

It’s been a couple years since your last acro pics; I’m excited to see the growth you’re having with them if you can spare the time. Hope all is well!

Hey, thanks for checking my thread out. It’s been a weird couple of years, mostly dealing with life and family stuff, but what’s new. I was forced to move everything out of the tank in order to replace a failing external overflow box. There were fractures along the drains because when I swapped out sump, I no longer had the extra support and the 1 1/2” drains were just too heavy on the box. I thought I was supporting them enough, but box said otherwise. I lost a few pieces along the way, while others just kept moving along. So I’m taking advantage of this repair to reboot the tank once again. I’m really going to simplify things even more, so it’s going to be a simple scape and a handful of acropora (mostly smoothies) with a few classics mixed in. I want to showcase my sukarnoi, so it’s going dead center on the bottom so it has a little more room. Then I’ll add some crocea clams to the rock work and hopefully a nice squamosa and derasa or hippopus? Although, Elliot from Golden State Corals just got in some really cool squamosina (a couple green ones) so I might go for one if decided not to keep them all.
The palys that started to grow on the Aussie and Solomon rock have really taken over, so I need to safely remove them before I put that rock in the 90. I just leaked tested and the tank is wet again and it’s now ready to go. I just need to rinse some sand and start moving over the “cleaned” rock.
As for the nano system, I’ve swapped out the sump there too, so now I have room to actually work in there. I’m going to move app the fish out except the onyx percs, then I’m going to search for a nice small gigantea and make it a species only tank. The side car tank (10g) will be cleaned up too and have just a couple crocea in there.
More to come…..
