Do you guys think its best to dose a less saturated kalkwasser solution with a more frequent drip throughout the day to keep up with your evaporation and when needed just up the saturation. Or dose a saturated solution at a much slower rate throughout the day and up the ml per minute when needed? I'm probably overthinking this but still figured I'd ask. what made me think about this question is the fact that co2 will mess with the ph benefits of the kalkwasser so if i had a really slow drip of a saturated solotion of .3ml a minute would that little droplet coming out of the dosing tube being exposed to air for so long affect the ph in the drop before it drips into the tank? Compaired to a drip of 1.5ml per minute of a less saturated solution?

Forgot to mention I have no idea where my pH ran. I only dosed to maintaining alk and calcium.
Yeah, that is kinda what I was wondering about most was how or if the ph would be affected with the droplet coming out of the dosing tube so slow.

I've read of people dosing kalk when lights are off for a pH bump because that's when pH is lowest. I know from reading not everyone even gets a pH boost because it takes a certain amount of kalk to get that boost and not all systems have a high enough evap rate to be able to dose enough to get the boost. It's all over my head so can't help with details it's just info I've gathered reading about it.
Here's an article by Than from tidal gardens that may help.
